i was going a little faster than that  plus no lambda sensor. could that be making it judder and misfire at 2000rpm?

most likely mate
get it sorted, as i thought the 8v was much better on fuel then 16v?

im waiting for new cat and lambda to arrive (65 quid instead of 231 + 70 from japseye) but havent managed to find downpipe yet.

8v mpg is a lottery....

motorway i can get 43 mpg plus....on my 8 miles trip to work i am lucky to see 28.

tyre pressure, excess car weight, dirty TB, the need of a service.......anything could effect it.

had tyres inflated before i set off and it gave me an extra 8mpg but its still only 28 :( i think ill have to remove induction kit.

i wouldnt....increased air flow is suppsoed to help mpg.

I have a open K&N cone on mine not to mention a full SS exhaust system.

When was your last oil change ?

only bought it last friday and got no service history with it. needs coolant filling up. oil filter looks at least 6 month old. high mileage too.

increased air flow won't directly improve MPG, will improve the combustion mixture (oxygen) but not in the same way a supercharger/turbo will, so in most cases it makes it worse, my exhaust seriously ruins my MPG!

induction filter could do with a clean. covered in grit since theres no wheel arch where it sticks through. got new bits today tho :D new wheel arch, headlight, indicator, door latches, gearstick gator, fuse box cover. all for 45 quid :)
