The number #1 question, how's the drone?
Doesn't apply to your ST. ST exhaust are the same between 280/290 just the map that's different creating lift off pops and possible louder dsg shifts.

In SC / 5door there's a slight increase in drone but not much. In the 1400rpm revrange it's noticeable above that there's no difference.

Resonator delete will create drone..
An option is to get a hjs catted Downpipe from Friedrich Motorsport, HJS or Bull-x those downpipes are cel free and will get you an added exhaust sound and a slight increase in performance.

Yeah 290 here and I managed to do it couple of times, just cant reproduce it consistently

Finally figured this out !!! :funk:

So it seems like this noisy little feature only works when Im in S mode.

Even in Cupra setup, when I flick the stick to D, it wont burble out loud. As soon as I flick it to S (even when I go aside to manual after) it works almost constantly after letting off the throttle, even below 4k rpm.

What I did until today is have my individual setup (mostly cupra) but use D and go manual when I want a spirited drive ( instead of S ). Now I have to go to S first, then manual.

Does the 290 Cupra with manual box crackle and pop on deceleration as well or is it just the DSG model ?

The 4 end tips was my first and only option. The "original looking" oval tips you could get is more extreme and too big to make it look OEM (I believe they look like RS3 tips). I got really nice support from Sam @ Milltek who emailed me pics of every tip for the ST 280. Will post them here.

Non-res was a good choice. Loud when you want it to be and pretty decent when you wanna run smooth. The small drone doesn't dominate over the interior sound from the width tires.

Gonna be at Nurburgring 19-22th may if anyone's going and wanna hear it.

Sorry for the late reply, this is when the resonator and middle silencer is deleted with the fox replacement pipe on the ST 290.

Did you weld this to DP and rear box or just clamp it? I have been considering fitting the same pipe for my ST Cupra. Was fitment good?
