You will find as stock your car could well be greater than the 296hp it is expected to have. My stock 300 was dynoed last November at Unicorn in Manchester as part of a forum meet and it made 308hp.

With a stage one you can expect 360-375hp returned.

A lot of claims around the numbers, however you should expect 360-365 and to pay £500-700. Anyone offering 390 for £150 is likely to leave you with either smaller numbers or a very large repair bill, maybe both.

Revo claim the 300 (296hp) model will go to 350-375PS (345hp to 369hp)
Racingline claim the 300 (296hp) model will go up to 370PS (365hp).

It’s definitely something I will look into doing. Just getting use to the DSG at the moment as this is my first ever automatic. Absolutely love it so far!

The newer 290 with GPF are easily putting out well over 310ps on rolling road with a healthy boost of torque over the older 300 due to the 7 speed DSG.

There seems to be more of a surge in torque to take advantage of the 7 speed DSG. You can 'notice' it on slip road pulls.

I've had good experiences in all MK3 Cupra cars and the newer 290 is the best. The exhaust grumble well out weighs a loud fart!

Sorry @Peller , where I agree most Cupras, 280/290/300/290 GPF/300 GPF generally produce more power as standard, this is usually up to 310, but certainly not ‘well over’ 310.
I’ve seen a 290 (none GPF) produce 312, but it wasn’t standard as had filter, hose etc.

So what about detection during servicing at an authorised workshop....? And do Seat immediately void the entire warranty, or "only" for defects that are caused by the remap? I tried finding threads about this, but gave up. Sorry if I'm duplicating something.

If the car goes in with the file still on ECU then it will TD1 straight away, they can also TD1 it manually if they really want to if they can see obvious signs of modification.

I know the performance gains are not so high as a remap, but a tuning box will get over the TD1 flag I believe.

I am looking at TDI Tuning and Bluespark - anyone have any experience using their products? The latter is much cheaper!!
