Cupra 300 service intervals

Evening all.

I've had my Leon Cupra 300 Estate since last July. It's only done approx 1,750 miles but I have a dashboard message telling me that an oil service is due in 16 days. I've done a bit of googling and I think it may be because the supplying dealer did not change the service interval date and therefore it is still set to the build date. Is this correct? If so I presume any Seat dealer should be able to amend when we get out of lockdown of course.

Thanks in advance!

That can happen when the dealership either has not bothered too much carrying out a PDI or only picked and chose which parts of the PDI to carry out. My daughter's Leon came to her with quite a few factory logged faults still logged, not very impressive, but maybe the price she paid for it made this easier to take and so I printed all these build faults off for a record, and cleared them using VCDS to stop her needing to waste time getting to that dealer after work.

Edit:- I would expect that as long as you submit it for its service just within 12 months of you buying it new, all will be well as far as warranty is concerned, come to think about it, my wife's 2015 Polo wanted its first fixed miles/months service over a month early - so same problem there as it was a factory order so in our hands maybe 6 weeks after initial build (ZA factory build).

My Cupra was set to longlife servicing at PDI. When I picked the car up from new with 12 miles on the clock, the car was not displaying miles to next oil or inspection service. After a few hundred miles the mileage was at c.15k miles instead of the normal 18.7k miles (30k km). This dropped to 12.7k/13 months for the service.

Most of the Cupra dealers and VAG specialists recommend the distance/time service on the Cupra. The splitting up of oil and inspection services on the MQB platforms also meant that my previous high mileage cars were in for servicing more frequently and was costing considerably more.
