Afternoon all,
Tried searching the forum several times but struggling to find much info.
My 2018 cupra 300 4drive is about to hit 40k so due.

I know oil and filter. Which oil and quantity?
Air filter not applicable have an aftermarket
Dsg service? When is this required?
Haldex 4wd service? When is this due?
Spark plug change mileage?

Anything else I've missed that should be done?
Thanks for any help 🙂

Perfectly capable of doing the work.
More used to running around in classics 😅 hence everything service schedule wise is very different.

But thanks for the pointless reply 😅😅

Ask for some info and get that.

All I needed to know was what mileage/years I needed to do the extras like dsg and haldex 👍

The oil and quantity was just to save me searching Google as I'm sure people who know about the other info could quickly tell me in the reply.

So irrespective of the engine oil
Do you know the service mileage for the 7speed dsg and the haldex unit?

If not thanks for your input buddy

The workshop manuals are here:

Use the link for ST, then manual called "Maintenance". Look for service tables - UK/Europe is group A.

If a 2018 model some of the servicing intervals depend upon if your vehicle is pre/post WLTP introduction (i.e. 6sp DSG or 7sp DSG). You may also require access to VCDS, OBD11 or Carista diagnostic tools as some maintenance will require recalibration of control modules.

If you can't be bothered to Google, at least have a look at the "Guides" section pinned to the top of the forum.

Haldex blog is here:

Oil quantities for Cupra with DSG is higher than manual due to additional oil cooler.

6spd DSG is 4yrs/60000km(40000mi)
According to some sources, new 7Spd DSG is 120000km interval.

Haldex is every 3 years. However look at the blog post above; my VAG specialist recommends every 20000 miles, less for modified cars. Also, you need the full kit with o-rings to remove/clean the strainer (service manual will replace oil only).

Other things to consider includes the brake fluid change if not done at 3 year point, plus other filters e.g. pollen filter.

Four-wheel or all-wheel drive VAG group vehicles often require a Haldex oil change after around 20,000 miles, with the filter requiring changing after about 40,000 miles. The oil works to maintain the Haldex coupling in the vehicle, and as a result, needs a regular oil change to keep it running smoothly. A Haldex coupling is directly attached to the rear final drive and controlled by a computer to ensure performance perfection. If the oil in the Haldex coupling is dirty or old, it can result in damage to the components and can affect the overall performance of the vehicle.

Depends on the car as per my previous post above. Also, invariably the manuals issued contain errors or are updated e.g. my Cupra has the OPF, but there are no instructions for how to regenerate the OPF in the user manual for issues my car, which had the dealer stumped for 2+ hours trying to clear it. We had to look at the later version of the manuals for this.

DSG is 4 yrs or 60k km / 40k mi on 6 Spd DSG. 120k km / 80 k mi on 7 Spd DSG.

Dealers know no more than you they are known for their stupidity.
You probably do a better job than them as they will not extend warranty life.
