Cupra Dilemma!!!

Hi All,

Just a heads up... I was speaking with Jason at Stoneacre Seat in Peterborough where I ordered my motor. He's asked me to pass on that he still has 5 Cupra Blacks available.

He ordered additional units before the cut off in mid-September. They are 5 units still available and they are 5dr Manual Cupra 290 Black Editions. They are due to arrive mid-November.

As a heads up my deal was £249.00 per month (1 + 23) inc VAT for a 5dr Manual on 10K miles per year. My price included metallic paint (I went for Dynamic Grey).

On the paperwork, the initial rental will show a higher rental figure but you will be given a dealer contribution in the form of a cheque before the initial rental comes out of your bank, hence it works out at £249.00 for the first rental. Hope that makes sense?

Well I've just secured my 2nd Cupra!!! Dynamic Grey

Same deal as above, 10k and 2 yr deal.

Now trying to get out of the Alor Blue deal that I was getting next month!!! Dohhhh

Dealer saying cancellation needs approving by his Manager who is not in, he's also saying my £500 deposit needs approving for refund etc.....

Hope that this works out in the end but the new Deal is around £2k better!! Worth the pain and hassle I hope.

Not a problem bud.

They can only keep a deposit if it's genuinely cost them money. I don't see how an already ordered car could do that?

Cheers, Mastercard has already paid them. Just been checking and as I paid over the phone Distance selling rules apply and have 14 days from goods by rights.
Hope they play ok or worse case Brother in Law Is a Partner at law firm so I'll get him to send them a letter!!

Was going to say that distance selling means they have to refund. What to do is send an email and a letter (signed for delivery) stating you'd like to cancel and expect your deposit refunded. That way they can't string it along trying to get beyond the 14 days.

Cheers, the dealer rang today and took card details again to arrange the refund.
Have to wait till back end of Nov now for the car.
Guess that's my Christmas present!!! Will be well happy.
