Happy to report mine has been booked in for delivery now on the 19th! Insurance, GAP and Maintenance all in place so it feels surreal after a 10 month wait. Hopefully post some pictures after delivery.

I am curious though, i'm having this one delivered rather than picked up so wondering if anyone has any experience in asking for full tank of petrol/proper clean before it's delivered? I get that it's going to have some road dirt and some fuel is used getting to me but it's still new car day right.....?
Well done you!

All my previous have arrived on the back of a lorry and have had a quarter of a tank of fuel. But mine are all leased and I never even know who the dealer is so never have chance to ask for a full tank!

IMHO most dealers don’t know how to give a car a ‘proper clean’. They’re good at inflicting swirls on the paintwork though (a.k.a. scratch and swirl treatment) as most dealers will still be using the ‘old-school’ wash method of using a single bucket, sponge and wash leather which isn’t good for keeping the paintwork looking factory fresh.

Push for the full tank of fuel by all means (I usually get a free 1/2 tank), but if you value your paintwork it’d be better if the dealer doesn’t do a ‘proper clean’.

I’ve been following your posts and you must be at exactly the same stage as me, as I have also got mine booked in for delivery on the 19th. We’re probably using the same leasing provider and supplying dealer. I’ll post some pics when mine arrives, feel free to share some of yours too!

That’s crazy. Who did you go with? My broker was Central UK Vehicle leasing. I think supplying dealer was Marshall Seat Leicester?

Out of curiosity, don’t suppose you or anyone else know if the cars come with mats? Or any other accessories we might get?

They usually come with mats, and then some lease companies swap them out for crappy lease branded ones, if you're unlucky! If you're lucky the lease company will leave the proper ones in and give you their set of mats in the boot as a spare set.

Some lease companies also give you a first aid kit, pressure/depth gauge, warning triangle, hi Viz etc. Nothing exciting.

Oh that’s a partial relief! I also saw somewhere that there’s some other bits and bobs that come. Namely a first aid kit, a bracelet and funky key cover I think? Looks quite cool actually. What do you think the chances are that they slip those in too?

I’m with express car leasing through Johnson’s Fleet Services so seemingly different to you! Not sure who the supplying dealer is.

I don’t unfortunately. Hopefully comes with standard mats. Can’t see anything else being included for a lease car though. We will see!

Was going to get onto my broker in the morning. They’ve been quite good so far actually. I talked to them about getting a full tank of fuel chucked in and dealer agreed so will keep you all up to date!

out of interest, what was the package you went for? Mine worked out £300 with £3k down for a 48 months and 10k miles

Want to hear the biggest joke.

My car has been in the UK since 29/03
Still not had finance documents
Nor do I have a delivery booked

Leased through 21st Century, Pretty Sure Supplied by Johnson’s Cupra Liverpool

Reason I still don’t have the car?
Well, this is there explanation -

‘’Essentially, as of 1st April the road tax costs updated, so all approved quotes need to get re-processed so they have 1 – the correct VED rates on the system, and 2 – the correct figures to reflect the new road tax costs (I imagine on this, will be a couple £). As this will have impacted all deliveries going back to 1st April there has been a large back log of documents being provided.

In addition, there are a lot of documents arriving back that do not reflect the sold rates. When road tax cost changes, this does get reflected into the lease costs as it is built in, however the documents that have been being returned have been completely different which has meant they have been submitted back to the funder for them to correct, therefor adding more work load.

I asked about your documents specifically, as this is the main thing at this stage. And although we have received no further communication since, our account manager was able to confirm that the documents had been recently issued – however the funder has not matched the profile. Meaning the documents do not reflect the sold rental, meaning these have to be re-processed.

You can absolutely be assured that I offered my thoughts on this and asked for these to be prioritised advising your situation and possible cancellation, which they have taken on board.

Once documents arrive from the funder, which we haven’t received any yet on your order, and they are a true reflection of the sold costs (taking into account any road tax difference) they are then submitted out to us for customer completion.

So, it pains me to say this, but from this information, in my own experience and thoughts, we may not receive these documents today, or even in the next few days… We are purely at the mercy of the funder providing correct documents.

I also asked, if we can provisionally book in delivery… And they, as expected, held firm on even in the best times they wouldn’t, however as the documents being received are not showing any consistency – it would not help due to the current above situation’’

And like a little boy, I get told of for ringing the lease company to chase my vehicle.

I've still not got a delivery date for mine, although I've had my documents. The price on mine had gone up 70p a month. Still got 3 or 4 weeks on my current lease so not to worried yet. I can switch to a daily lease price if I need to extend it for a few days/weeks.

Bro this is absolute waffle. I had this same email. Mine went up about £1.76 a month and they didn’t delay delivery at all. All they needed was a couple of pages that needed a signature rather than the whole contract again and this time rather than having to send it, I was allowed to just scan and email back. I’d be dubious about that one…??

Have you talked to your current finance company about an informal extension? If it’s VWFS, give them SLI of your new order and they should let you keep the current car until the new one comes. That’s what I’ve done for about 6 months now. Old car ironically goes back same day new one is delivered lol

Just had an email offering delivery next Monday, out of the blue. Trying to delay it to middle of next month as my current lease goes back then.
