Does anyone happen to know part numbers and the best place to get hold of an oil filter? I am doing mid service interval oil changes on my car to make sure it's tip top.

Usually get consumables like oil, filters etc when doing this sort of thing from places like Opie Oils, ECP or Halfrauds depending on who is doing the best deal.

Problem is that if I put my specific car reg in it does know it's a 300 ST 4drive but then none of them list a filter. I could just put in manually a Cupra or a Golf R but I want to be 100% sure.

So, anyone know what the p[art number is for an oil filter, either the Seat one or a generic part number for say a Bosch or other brand?

06L115562B - I order from TPS. Think it was £11. Just about to change it again for the next oil change.

Not sure if it’s the same on a 300 but my 290 has a single use plastic sump plug, so if you do order from TPS, make sure you ask for that too. It’s around £5 for that.

Usually I just call TPS, give them my reg and they find the genuine part numbers and either have them in stock or order them in next day.

The filter from TPS comes with the seal :)

Yeah the tool is a good idea - I used a screwdriver and it was a butt clenching moment.
