Find out if the cambelt has been done, if not I would recommend doing it ASAP. That is a really good price though.
Get it tweaked and it should compete with 328's etc
If you do have to get the cambelt done budget around £250-300 to get it done, unless of course you do it yourself.
Also make sure you get the water pump changed at the same time for a metal impellor version instead on the original plastic impellor version as these eventually crumble and fail.

the isle of ireland? revo will do your ecu if you remove it and post it over,might save you the ferry over
As for tips, do some searches in the Mk3 question.
One tip for you though is don't ask any questions about fitting a loud dump valve as they have been asked before, do a search instead.

I would prefer to have all work dont when the car is complete and on the rollers, dont like tinkering at stuff i know nothing about, i just keep my itchy hands are for the bm, the cupra ill leave too the proffesionals!![]()
