Cupra Performace after re-map?

Hello

I have had my cupra for a while now and im after a bit more power. As I understand a re-map will make alot of diffrence to my car and will be alot cheaper than buying a new car.
My question is what sort of performance figures am I looking at with a stage 1 re-map (0-60/0-100/30-70) roughly. I assume it is quite a noticable change, also I have seen a few posts about fitting 20mm spacers to the rears to help stability is this true?

Thanx for any help :)

yeah ya looking at prob 40 horses extra, with a remap, and lot more torque.

spacers make a fair difference, mainly under braking.

certainly transforms the car, just these 2 mods alone!!

i have spacers on my 1.4 and i know its not a huge power house under the bonnet i can still keep up with cars around corners as it keeps the rear of the car flatter to the road...

another good mod if your wanting to get great handling would be a rear ARB.

what was the cupra originally 156bhp/160lbft? post remap ours was 200bhp/260lbft - it's like night & day. 30-70 was no effort, equally neither was 70-120 dispatched in 5th gear in no time.

I doubt there's many standard ones out there.......

I got the Jabba re-map that took mine from 156 to 207 so thats a 51 bhp increase just from the chip. The difference is rediculous to be honest. Havent done a 0-60 test yet tho.

0-60 your looking at about 6.5secs some have said a bit less though!

It really changes the car and makes it a different car to drive!! I got mine remapped about 6 months after I got the car and its been the best mod I ever had done!
