Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has a decat system and had a map? i been in contact with starperformance and they WILL NOT remap my car without a cat? Now not sure on everyone else but i cant see any reason for spending a few hundred quid on a sport cat wen the decat option is available! mybe for legal reasons but to be fair who is always 100% legal haha can anyone point me in a good direction for a remap and who would do it? i will have turbo back decat exhaust Forge tip hard intercooler hose open cone filter split-r, and 4bar fpr if required, hoping round 230bhp mark! im from scotland so not places like london haha willing to travel a bit tho! cheers.

Anyway, No reason why they wouldn't remap without a decat, Its possible they dont know how to do remaps (As in their just installing generic code and their worried a decat will flag up errors)
Find yourself a decent tuner like P-Torque and have will remap it and have the "CHECK ENGINE" light mapped out as that should come on once its decatted.
Remember that.

loads of ppl mate jabbasport will do it but i'm sure have to sign a disclaimer, de cats all the way
better driveability dan sports cats
its pointless. the gains you get dont outweigh the ball ache that is swaping over cats or downpipes. in my opinion of course. if the police are anything like down here, they'll try and get your car off the road for anything do dont give em bait.
kewl thanx for the info, ye think id rather go for custom map to make sure im gettin the best out of the upgrades, ye heard this will at p-torque meant to be quite good, starperformance are a vag specialist but no use if the customer wants a decat!! wat about awsome? who did demeongen get his map done by? anyone had a map on a mk4 cupra with similiar mods? just to see if my 230bhp is ambitious haha
This is true, Scott runs 245bhp but 30lb/ft less than mine, and I have similar mods but with the Miltek sports cat and downpipe.
I think with stage 2 mods its very do-able to see 230bhp, have a look at my spec list for an idea, I ran 236bhp and 295lb/ft on Awesomes rollers last saturday.
Mines got a resonated Cat-Back after the downpipe, so it is til you give it some revs. Very easy to live with. I must say, as far as the downpipe and costs go, the sports cat option is much better for the whole legality etc, you just put it on and forget about it.
I had a sports cat in my miltek system and once i got the decat pipe in i noticed a difference and it shoots flames and pops now id say go for the decat mate well worth it. Im running stage2 aswell but i haveno idea of figures yet but hoping to get it rolling roaded shortly
Miltek sounds alot nicer, but its alot more expensive.

Miltek sounds good not too loud but when you gun it thats when it sounds ace oh and mine is non-res
never heard a mk4 with a blueflame so cant be of any help there .
Will is good. Bit of a drive for you down to Wolverhampton though!
