Hi all

I've currently got a private reg plate on my leon cupra (CU07PRA) and thinking of selling it anyone have any idea on what it's worth or is it best to sell with the car at a later date?

You'd make more by selling it separate. It's a selling point for the car but doubt it would add much, if any, value if left on.

Would imagine a plate like that will only go down in value as it's only really good for an 07 Cupra, so as the cars get older and are worth less people will be less willing to spend on a private plate. Just my opinion though!

Thanks for the advice. My local Seat Dealer have offered £1000 for the plate so think I will go down that route, as you say I can't see it adding a £1000 to the value of the car when it comes to sell it.

That's why I've posted it on here, I kind of wanted to get a gauge for what you guys think its worth.

There are shedloads of places that will buy a plate from you online bud, do a google search for and take a look at a few and get some quotes, that's the best advice I could give, doesn't really matter what we think in the end, it's what someone is willing to pay.

It might be that for the ease of things the Seat offer is the one to go for (if it's not too far off the mark) but I think I'd be tempted to get some more quotes from places that specialise in private plates.

While I was typing this I did a very quick search for your plate and there is a CU08 PRA for sale at £975, all of a sudden the £1k Seat are offering seems like a good one to me ;)

Is CU07PRA currently on an inferi black Leon cupra?

Nothing exciting, it was just the first cupra we had through when they were released.

The 1k from Seat seems a reasonable price.

The on-line places a lot of time wont to sell the plate before giving you the money for it so this could take time.
