Apologies for asking what are probably stooopid questions but I'm considering buying a cupra (probably a year old unless anyone knows where you can get a good deal on a new one!) and after trawling the FAQ's and other threads on this site I have a couple of questions that would help me with the decision:

K1 bodykit - the FAQ's mention that this was only available for a short time (Q1 08) yet I've seen cars registered later with it but can't see it on the latest brochure options list for the Cupra - Can you order it for a new Cupra? and if not when did it stop?

Re-map - I'd really like to get the car re-mapped but only to a stage 1 level, I've read a lot about the bluefin and Revo version's are they pretty much the same or is one better than the other?

If i get a stage 1 do I need to do anything else with the car or should the standard bits and bobs handle the increased power

Am I being niave or as you can switch between standard and modified setting with the bluefin (& revo with the extra switch) would the dealer know it'd been chipped if you switch to standard whenever you get it seviced / warranty claims etc?

Any help / advice gratefully received, thanks.

Depends what you want to pay you can get up to 2K off a Cupra. Also you need to decide if you want a pre or FL car. Worth having a look and drive of both although FL car drives pretty much the same. More interior and exterior styling tweaks between the two.

The K1 was indeed a limiterd edition but the bodykit is still available as an extra for about
2K as a dealer fit option.

Bluefin is best if you want stealth as the map can be removed and standard map put back on at any time and vice versa. Revo is just a switch to change between standard and Revo map. It is very hard to see the map on diagnostic equipment unless you know what you are looking for. A few Seat dealers offer Revo remapping now.

cheers, thanks.

£2k off a new one is that just through good negotiations with a dealer or anyone else?

re the FL version, when did that get introduced? and also on that front when is the current model likely to be replaced?

thanks again

2K is what you can get off via a broker such as www.seatcarsdirect.com or www.dealdrivers.co.uk. seatcarsdirect is an online site for M1 Auto's a Seat main dealer in London and dealdrivers are a broker and deal via a Seat main delaership in Huddersfield I believe. Willoughby Seat Nottingham http://www.willoughbygroup.co.uk/newcars/seat.shtml also offer some good deals. Many main dealers won't budge on price I phoned quite a few and settled with M1 Auto's as they were the best price and have been very good so far.

The FL was launched in April 2009 and was over here around July time. The new model is planned around 2012.
