Vern Bill does grooved disks and the Ferrodo DS2500 or DS3000 would be better than direct replacement......just no wear sensor ;)

Bill always forgets to take off the discount he promised SCN members back in the depths of time, I realise Bill needs the cash now his money tree has died but make sure he remembers.

Brake pads and discs

Hi vern,

Thanks for reply,

I have just had the 30K service and new GSD3 s on front, it was a mate from Golf club who owns a garage that did the work (has done all servicing and oil changes since i got car), So trust him that they are worn. Not noticed any movement when braking but noticed brakes feel a little worn.

He said to me that i would be able to get all stuff cheaper than him off here , but will charge me for fitting.

If you will do this for me , i would be really greatful (saving me a bit of cash too).No problem with stella!

Bit confused as what parts best to get, so if you can let me know what and where i can get the kit from i will order them ( can collect if in N England) and then arrange to come to you and do the job.

Sorry to be a pain, but dont know much about the oily bits of cars so grateful for all the boys help on here.

Cheers Mate

Dave

Brakes

Do you think the groved dics would be something worth having, see them on Porsche and other supercars but depends on price and whether you gain anything.

Cheers

Bill how much for your brembo groved discs ATE stylee? for pair delievered+ inc vat? LCR 2003 and how how much for DS2500 brake pads for same inc vat and del togehther? package deal please :p and they are for my "old" LCR :)

Dave asked Bill if he replies with price on here, you can see it and decide to buy(he's old but quite safe to deal with  ) if you do get them sent to you, and mail me and i'll fit them one night or summat, just p.m me or mail me mate ;)

The discs bill sell are great, there is a pic on here somwhere and the pads come highly recommended by the guys on here(as did the GSD3@s lol), better fade resistance than standard brembo pads, and are matched to discs :funk: Let bill know what you are doing, if the price is right, bear in mind dealers want £600+vat for this..............

Dave got ya mail ;)

If i were you, and i think you are keeping it a bit longer, go for the grooved mate, de- glazes pads, can help with fade, by allowing surface build up of gases to escape as well, oh and get the new DS 2500 off bill, standard brembo's pads leave somthing to be desired, o.k they do job, but Ds 2500 are better matey :)

so £230discs+£90 pads=£320+vat=£376 inc vat + £20 carriage £396 when i was @ school all in, To be honest all good gear mate, you get what you pay for, and bill is reliable, i can fit em mate, just gis a bit of notice :D

Bill, are your discs the standard fit but with some machining!?!?

I'd be quite interested in a set of front pads, is there any reason to go for the 3000s over the 2500s?
