on that vagcat link it shows a wiring harness, does this mean the standard cupra r gauges are electrical and just plug straight in without any extra mechnaical plumbing? prob sounds quite stupid as they're are only voltage and temp gauges so must run via the ecu, not like boost that actually needs to be measured through the dump valve??
cool cheers nice one, does that mean then you can put any 2 gauges you want down there (say boost and oil pressure), just as long as they're electrical?
ok just picked mine up it is 150mm x 150mm square with 2x 52mm holes part number 6k0 863 263 01c hope this helps £10.02 inc vat at 10% not 17.5% dont let them charge you the higher vat not till the new year anyway

BUMP ! any news on these mystery plugs ? had a gander on a dealers computer and it states something about a wiring harness?? do you need this to connect the two gauges??????
right guys, got myself a gauge holder + gauges out an R.
have looked at the fitting guide (http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=72432) and that seems simple enough, just wondering if there is wireing already in-situ (2001 cupra) to just plug & play? as the gauges i got have a OE looking 4 pin plug
if not, i'm assuming I'm needing an oil pressure sensor? if so what sensor do I buy?, can someone point me in the right direction
cheers
(edit; I've got a spare gauge holder if anyones looking for one, its got a small split on the LHS and a scrape on the right, not bad but not perfect, will post to somebody UK that wants it for postage costs, PM if your interested)
