Heres some pics of the back of mine mate:

Cheers for the pics, mate!

It certainly does look like an exact fit (and a neat job). Do the holes at the bottom (the ones where you put the screws to bond the whole piece to the rear bumper) actually match, mate?

Then bolt on a Milltek and enjoy!!! BRUUUUUUURR.

Just reviving an old thread here... I have the pd170 mk 2 Leon Fr and desperately want this Cupra r diffuser , you've said about bolting on a miltek exhaust; is it as easy as that? Would I be able to get a full turbo back miltek for mine to fit this? Because would the Cupra r exhaust fit my Fr obviously being a different car?

You could easily get a Cupra R exhaust to fit to your current FR yes.

Back box would suffice, but you can go full system if you really wish.

So when going to buy one, would I be looking to buy the Cupra r exhaust even though it's not made for the Fr? Or do they do ones made specifically for the Fr that look like the Cupra R ones?
(Sorry for stupid questions)

You'd just buy the R back box (it's a Remus made part) cost new from the dealers is around £350 I believe.

You may need some kind of reducer to fit it to your current FR system but that's something any exhaust place will have to hand.

For prices take a look at SERE motors, Dave will sort you out with a good price for the exhaust.

No worries, Dave is ace but he's really busy so you may not get a reply immediately but he will get back to you.

I'd like to add and clarify the following:

  • My FR was a petrol 2.0 TSI Leon
  • Milltek as of now does not offer a turboback solution for your 2.0 TDI 170, and the one provided for the Cupra R 265 does not fit your Leon as its downpipe part doesn't have a DPF delete solution. You'll do fine with just the catback part, though (which I totally recommend :funk:)
  • If you're really considering to change your downpipe, you'll require a DPF delete file remap
  • The catback reference provided by Mr. Crafoo refers to the OEM Cupra R catback, and that one will require more adjustments to have it fitted compared to an aftermarket solution

Aside from that, you'll just require a diffuser.

Yes I'd just like to clarify when i said you can go full system, i did mean aftermarket and not straight swap the Cupra R system. I was talking straight swap from a back box point of view.

So what aftermarket system am I best to be looking into getting?

I'm not from around, but since Milltek and BCS don't seem to be making DPF delete solutions for your Leon anymore, this one looks about right:

Downpipe and remap

And these are your Cupra R catback choices:

Piper

Milltek

BCS

I chose Milltek and haven't regretted it so far, but people in here say their pipes tend to rust. Mine looks and sounds pretty solid, so I guess I'll have to wait a bit more to find out if they really rust. In the end, it's your choice

is the pipe not a different size (fatter) or anything with the exhaust coming off a petrol and going onto my diesel?

All these aftermarket back boxes come with adaptors to standard/OEM downpipes, just make sure the one you get has them. If any special adaptation is required, a decent pipe installation shop should be able to deal with it.

I know this is an old thread but I'm getting a custom exhaust made next week, what exhaust tip size is it that fits the Cupra R diffuser, am I right in thinking it's 3.5"?
