Cupra R Scorpion Alarm

Does anyone with a Cupra R, fitted with standard scorpion alarm, know where to get a replacement remote keyfob from ?

Seat tell me they never fitted the alarm, even though its listed on thatcham site, and got booklet

Also Scorpion alarms dont exist anymore, so no help there !

Any help would be good, as it's looking like a new alarm at £350

cupra r does not have standard alarm like on cupra, reason why there is no sensor above passenger seat on headlining or red led next to door button on drivers side.

Is one for sale on Seat used car section, listing the alarm upgrade

Have you lost the key fob or is the battery dead?

Mine still works so touch wood I dont need a new one

finally got a decent answer from Seat after getting really sh**y with them.

they replied:


After further investigation I can confirm that the alarms were fitted to SEAT vehicles by Scorpion themselves at the port on the vehicle’s arrival from Spain. Please accept my apologies for the incorrect information given to you; however, as the alarm is not a SEAT part, we are unable to provide a key fob. We have contacted Scorpion directly on your behalf and they have advised that if you call their Technical Helpline and ask for David, he will be very happy to assist with the purchase of a new fob for you. Their contact details are as follows:

Gonna make my day telling local Seat parts manager after he told me i was making it up and that Seat would NEVER have fitted the alarm ! what a monkey !
