hello
does anyone know where I can get the towing eye cover for cupra r rear bumper

thanks

Both cars I’ve bought had tow bars fitted.
Had one on my Cupra. Was a factory fitted version.
On my R there was no cover.
Hated the hole.
Ended up getting 1mm Foamex sprayed it black and glued a piece over the hole.

They've been discontinued. Only place I could find them was a German Audi parts supplier. Comes up on Google eventually if you search the part number

is that the removable part at the right of the bumper? i got one at the vagdealer ?

according to local seat parts dept they have been discontinued the site suggested only seems to have the cupra one not the cupra r one

hi lightup
yea that's the part told by seat uk dealer that the part is now obsolete so they can not order it
which is a pain as there are still thousands of the cars on the road in the uk you can get the cupra one ok but not the cupra r

yeah its regular with older cars. i could ask here again if they sell it still

I’ll be 3D printing this part and selling them in December when I get back from vacation. Just so you know if you don’t find one by that time.

Lightup what did you pay for it if you remember? Also discontinued in Germany dealerships

There’s a few discontinued parts on the mk1 now. Shame you can’t print them all.
You would do well printing the side jacking covers as these are rare as rocking horse poo.
Also the front S badge at top bumper. No longer available.
(On the Cupra R not Cupra)

I’m working on 3 projects at the moment

Front Cupra R grill in 4 variants
Stock a badge and slot style
Debadge slot style
Honeycomb with badge
Honeycomb debadge

Front Cupra R side grills in honeycomb (topsport style)

Rear Cupra R towhook cover

I’ll look into the jacking point covers as well! Could be possible when printing with nylon or a hybrid ABS

How about the front grille with the new S logo? Wonder what that would look like
