New user, here goes...
My current Cupra R 265 has a space saver wheel. If a front tyre punctures, I have to take a wheel off the back, replace it with the space saver, then swap the punctured front for the good rear. Apparently, the space saver won't clear the front brake calipers. Seems reasonable, though I've never had to do so.
So why does the Cupra ST 280 with the sub 8 performance pack, I'm considering buying, delete the space saver? The 370mm discs and huge Brembos are only on the front. I'm also thinking of the full sound system, which puts the extra sub woofer inside the space saver.
Dealer near me can't answer the question. I don't fancy driving around with only a tube of extra sticky toothpaste as a repair kit.
Thoughts from the experts appreciated. I test drove the standard car, and I love it.
