Cupra TDI Gears

Hi Guys

I read on a honest John review that the Leon TDIs suffer from notchy gear boxes?

Mine isnt particularly notchy at all but after driving the mrs Fabia VRS tonight i would say that my gears feel alot more chunky.

Now dont read too much into it as i dont get any grinding nor does it stop me getting it in gear... all im saying is that my gear box feels rougher chunky notchier than the skoda VRS.

Its nothing big im not really worried about it but was just thinking i thought Skoda, Audi and VW all use the same clutches, gearboxes on the 1.9 tdi lumps so was wondering why a review would say this about one of the VAG group and not others???

Hi, Is your Car the 6 speed or 5 ??
If its the 5 its a dif gearbox & they use linkage setup from the gearknob to the box & it isnt as smooth as the 6speed Cable System...

That mite be the prob M8



Please correct me if iam wrong anyone ???

All Leon Cupra tdi have 6 gears....

yes they do.

mine is tdi cupra and no it is not notchy and hasn't been in since in my hands which is 50k
your feel and mine is different which can also sway opinions
