Cupra TDI - Turbo Issues

Fully reconditioned with all OEM parts and a 12 month guarantee, only thing they suggested doing was after driving the car to leave it ticking over 20-30 seconds before turning the engine off. I was quoted a SEAT dealer as around £1,500 for a new one fitted. Think I remember looking at Garrets website and they were around £1,100 but I'm sure you can probably get them much cheaper shopping around.

To clear it up, a BLT engine (130 as fitted to Fr) has a KKK turbo fitted which are supposed to be crap. A Golf PD150 has a Garret GT1749 which produces more boost (capable of more power) and is meant to be more reliable.

The PD160 uses the Garret GT1749 too as far as i know?

Seen a new one online for 650, 1500 is crazy.

Pd150 and 160 turbos are near on identical, just think they have a different shaft?
