That's just purely badge snobbery and bragging rights tho, not common sense lol.

+1
Yet this is indeed one of the main reasons I wouldn't give up our R for a Cupra :)

But sense speaking; id have a Cupra with leather interior, heated seats and Cupra R exhaust.
Really don't like the Cupra oval tip.

So, what I want really isn't far off the R anyway...but those alloys...

Nothing to do with badge snobbery, otherwise i would have bought a S3,

you could argue the same about purchasing a leon FR tfsi and remapping that to be quicker than a standard Cupra/Cupra R

Justifying cost :roll eyes:

And no matter how much you throw at it it will never be a Cupra R

For me my modding has nothing to do with trying to make it an R. Its nothing special the same wsy that a standard cupra isnt special. Anyway "in theory" those r's are so far back in the rearview youd need hubble to spot them:) my target is 400 with change and all plug n plug only. By my reckoning thatll give me the fastest car in town power to weight ( its a shitty town but a small town nonetheless). That makes it one off.

Of course its badge snobbery lol. I think it was yourself that said to me the last time a thread like this popped up that given the choice of mine with all its mods and a standard R for same price you'd have the R because its the R.

I'd have an R because it's an R...kinda did get the R because it's an R haha. When we went looking, we searched for "Cupra R" so it was a conscious full badge-bell-end decision.

Happy we did :)

I may well have done, Yes i do like the fact its an R as when possible i like having the top version of anything i purchase

The New Cupra is a better car, but I can honestly say for me its not a justifiable cost

lol your argument is totally flawed

you are comparing a car with a different engine to a cupra, it has f**k all to do with the argument

And you are comparing a car's with different engine components

I'm using your own logic

Dont the r's have the speaker inside to make them sound better?
Mine is just a cupra so it didnt come with one, so i fitted my own speaker. I called it a 3 inch downpipe. Think i did a better job than Seat:)
