On the rollers again today and everything's spot on.:D

Two back to back runs were carried out and they were nearly identical:D

Fitted my VT fast Road engine mounts last week, took me about 2.5 hrs in total. The front mount and the gearbox were pretty straight forward but he Rear engine mount was a little fiddly.

Here's a few pics.

Cuprabaz: Did you notice any difference when driving?? Im about to change my mounts to the same VT as you got. Did you put the car on axel stands, remove the bolt on the old mount and jacked the engine carefully up??? Any tip along the way??

Not had it out on the road yet as it's still up on axle stands getting the suspension overhauled. But there was a noticable amount of vibration. Saying that it'll never be back on the road, track car from now on.

Yeah that's what I did. The rear engine mount was a pain in the hoop space wise.

More progress this week.

I dropped my G60 flywheel off at AGRA Engineering to be lightened and balanced so that should be ready soon.

While fitting my rear ARB i noticed that the alloy spring platforms of my coilovers were cracked, turned out all 4 were totally corroded and crumbling. Coilovers were removed, buffed down, greased, painted and new platforms fitted. I also fitted the front ARB and lower brace. The lower brace needed some adjustment to allow the holes to match up.

Not really had the bike out much this year to be honest. I still got the black shogun for tearing about in, it's tad heavy on the diesel but it's great:)

Did some work today on the weight loss front, ripped out all the carpets, removed all the sound deadening(heat gun is a must) and all the plastics from the rear. There was two of us doing it so it didn't take long at all..... to completely wreak the inside of my car

Ibiza 130 tdi, cheers mate. Although i may have to loose the gauge pod on the A-pillar because of the cage.

Beattie, Not yet. I'm going to go for a bolt in cage either OMP or Sparco i think.
