Before you strip it I recommend you have a hurl in a stripped one because it's pretty noisey. You can hear every little stone hitting the floor and arches, it doesn't bother me in the slightest but some might hate it.

Looking good Baz, what needs to be done with the WOT box?
Does it involve remapping?

When's it all going to be read for a KH outing?
I'm fitting coilovers today and hopefully onto KH very soon

Cheers boys. I was like a kid at christmas when i got back on thursday:D

Just wire it in and all you have to do then is set up the launch control. As far as i'm aware.

Not sure yet going to be getting it MOT'd as soon as the cage, harness bar and harnesses are in and that should this week. Buffed of all the paint ready for welding last night and took a few more brakets off.
***TOP TIP*** If your trying to remove stuff that's spot welded don't bother with a proper drill bit for doing so just grind the bu99er off saves drilling holes in the paper thin floor!! Should have remembered from last time - ooops!

Emissions should be bang on. The problem turned out to be an air leak on the map sensor, i hadn't torqued it up properly and never thought to check it!!:hide: It worked out quite well though because if it hadn't failed that mot i wouldn't have the Warrior, the cupra probably wouldn't be in the butchered shape it's in and i'd probaby be banned haha.

Just a couple of little updates.

Had a little trouble getting gas for the welder but it should all be sorted when i get next week, got plenty of welders but no gas!:censored:
I fitted my new wishbone bushes, top mount and top mount bearing to the passenger side only before i left.

With me still swithering whether or not to go for the hybrid a friend of mine had offered to have a look at my map to see if there could be any improvements made to what i already have so that if i did go for the hybrid then i'd have a decent base map for them to work with. We were unable to get the map off the car with the ecu installed so it was removed and opened up. Star had fitted a scrambler board, desolder job coming up.
I also raised the back of the bonnet to aid cooling and fitted bonnet pins because catch on the carbon bonnet doesn't look the safest. Personally i like the look of it now but i'm sure others will say it looks like it's been in a smash:)

Looking purposeful there Baz.
I'll be looking to lift the rear of my bonnet too to aid cooling.
How did you do it?
How was drilling the bonnet to fit the pins, always thought it was liable to cracking

Cheers Willie.

I just used nuts and washers to give me the extra height, took a little bit of pr*cking about to get at the height i wanted.
The bonnet was easy enough to do. There were already holes in the fibre glass frame so i only had to drill the carbon then file it out to the correct size. Getting the height and alignment for these also took fair bit of pr*cking about but i'm pleased with how it all looks.:D

When's it all going to be done?
It sounds like you are trying to get EVERYTHING done prior to getting it on the track.
Is it not able to be driven just now so you can at least get a bit of fun in it while researching other bits and pieces?

Yip i'll be getting it all done prior to tracking it. I'm missing every single sprint and hillclimb event this year due to my rota but only found this out after i got my licence!! Once the cage is in it'll be getting mot'd, taxed and insured.
It could be driven but it's not road legal at the minute. It does get a run now and then on a private local road just to keep the rust off the discs.
