custom decat downpipe? worth it?

Been looking at gettin stage 2 for a while but i only want performance and dont care about extra noise.Actually i love how quiet the car is compared to much more powerful cars which are much louder, but then: you thrash them and relish in the look on their little faces. Anyway i got quoted £290 inc vat+fitting by pro speed in cardiff. I would get a 70mm downpipe decat and a flexipipe to connect to the existing exhaust. Can be done in 5 hours too.

Cant find what milltek are charging for decat downpipe on its own but supersprint want 400 for theirs an then your looking at 1.5 hours of labour so itd be around 500.

I'll be going this route with pro speed in cardiff, was going to be having it done in Jan but money was needed else where so will likely be april.

I've got a lot of time for Pro Sped in Cardiff, they done a superb exhaust system for my Corrado VR6. Gonna have to take my Cupra to them when funds allow!

Was worried about having a decat because of potential damage to turbo by it overspooling but a decent stage 2 map will prevent this anyway. I have revo and will upgrade to stage 2. Switch down to std when i drive it down. Then after installation Ill switch to the map. Thatl avoid any problems. I just think for 290 all inc and done in 1 day id be stupid to buy off the shelf. Maybe we cn meet up and go down together or u can use me as a guiney pig.

I really want to build up a portfolio of decent relationships with garages that will cover every aspect of my car so in the future i know who i can trust to do a good job for a decent price. Been let down by a couple of places so far. Indigo gt couldnt wipe codes after i took the steering wheel off and told me it was a steering angle sensor broken by the bodyshop thay took it off for me. After accusing them and them having to pay over a hundred quid to fix it it still didnt work. Went to a ecu genius whos the kind of bloke who has a small warehouse full of gizmos and wires and dismantled ecu's all over the place but knows his ****, and he told me it was just a simple error code wipe.
Another idiotic place is touch of class upholstery who did my dash and door cards. Very arrogant and sly. Not to be trusted.

Hopfully prospeed wont be a letdown

I'd say that was worth it Lucifer. Would you then just upload the Revo stage 2 software when you have your custom downpipe fitted?

I can only find a Supersprint system for the FR petrol/diesel, do they do a full system for the Cupra aswell?

Ive got the sps switch so i would get it uploaded first, then switch back to standard stock mode. Then after i get the downpipe ill switch it on.

Only thing im worried about is how loud its going to be. I do some long journys in it so cant handle too much noise
