Cylinder Head and Block matchings

Does anyone know if a APX head from a tt/s3 will fit a AUM (golf) or AQX (ibiza) 1.8t block?

Yes. All heads fit, just with the exception of stuff like VVT one some models and no egr valve on other(typically older heads like AGU/AEB).

Can i ask why the AGU head won't fit a AQX block? i know mention the egr but how does this affect it?

I'm going on what phil has said but if your saying it will then who do i believe,

Would no EGR valve be a problem or is he on about an AGU block and not the head?

it will fit but wont run the functions like egr or vvt if you want it

I am having an oportunity to buy AJQ cylinder head cheap...will this head fit to my AQX engine?
I think AQX is small port, hopefully AJQ is the same.
Will AQX valve cover fit on AJQ head?

Isnt the AJQ a small port with VVT?

Valve cover will fit across all heads, theyre generic.

i blew the motor in my car a while ago im now running a AUQ engine in mine which has vvt on but there aint no plug on the ibiza loom for it so its not plugged in and it does not affect the perfomance or engine managment what so ever

so it seems it will work..however...i was planning tu use mine parts from my old aqx head...i am 99% sure that everything is the same..except chain tensioner...i am hoping that it is possible to put non vvt tensioner into vvt head...
