My DAB radio keeps going off for up to 30 seconds, its every station not the one that was on. It also goes off when I select reverse, I have music lowering set to mediumso its not that it does not do it in FM or if i have media selected. Its going to the garage on thursday but they looked puzzeled when i told them. Has anyone else had these issues.

Is it every time you put it in reverse?? You haven't wired up a reversing camera or dash camera or anything?
I had a lot of problems with the head unit but nothing like that and nothing that couldn't be resolved with a reset. Sounds like it is a connection or interference of the dab antenna.

Hope the garage sort it for you!

LED rear indicators and LED reversing light will have this effect if you have replaced standard filament bulbs. It a known Seat quirk!

Yep, replaced my reverse bulb with a Cree LED bulb, and mine does this now. But with a LED replacement rear fog light replacement. It doesn't do this when on. Depends on the type of LED you buy I guess.

Just to add. I had Signal drop out with every DAB station when driving through a particular town on the way home from work. As like what you mention, every 30 seconds. When I checked online, the DAB network in that area was indicating it was having problems. So don't rule out any signal tower issues. I like to listen to Absolute 80's. And if the DAB signal drops, it should go to a FM equivalent. But Absolute Radio hasn't an FM equivalent, therefore I get silence until the signal comes back.

Driving round deepest darkest Welsh Wales, the DAB signal disappears for ages. Sometimes me & t'wife try to sing along and see if we've kept up when it comes back on, other times we forget about it and it frightens the sh!t out of us when it comes back on.... :-o
Radio X has no FM equivalent so its either Norman Collier radio ( ask your dad/Google) or IPod time....

drops out randomly no set area or time

Took delivery of my 1st Leon last week, which replaced a Mini Cooper. Prior to delivery, I had suspected that DAB reception in the Leon would be worse than the Mini, as the Leon has no external aerial (aerial built into rear windscreen). However, I was surprised to find that DAB reception is better in the Leon!

I can now receive the Liverpool DAB multiplex without any drop outs on my whole daily commute to Manchester (I live in Widnes). Likewise, I can now receive the Manchester DAB multiplex without any dropouts on the full journey from Manchester to Liverpool. Additionally, I can now receive the Wolverhampton & Shropshire when parked outside my house, which was not possible in the Mini (in the Mini, the radio picked up the Wolverhampton station names, but there was no sound, in the Leon, I can hear the Wolverhampton stations loud & clear)

FYI - my comparison reflects reception in both cars after the recent power increases on the Manchester & Liverpool DAB multiplexes

Oh & sorry to sound like a radio geek!

All over central Scotland and so far the only dodgy DAB reception I have found are at the Milton Bridge area on the way into Penicuik, and around Haddington, everywhere else great, hardly listen to CD/MP3's now.
