The only other car they can come from is the Cordoba SX!

Take off your door card and have a look at the feet that the window sits on, on my drivers side one I was able to put a bolt into a hole in said foot and it all worked OK. The passenger side was not so good, the foot fell off the cable and wouldn't stay on, no matter what I tried.

yeh my passenger side ones gone for like a month now ...being trying to source one cant find it for under £50 second hand!! so i dont think its worth it,

so would a mk3 one fit for sure?

Well I took it apart (what a fecking pain that was, sliced my thumb apart while trying to undo the stupid window clamps) Seems that the actual motor and mechanism are OK, but the cable is completely and utterly fcked, twisted and snapped. So before I go spending £90 of my hard earned cash I will try and replace the steel cable with a new one or some kind of strong string ;)

Is there a difference between the 3 door and 5 door regulators? Might know where there is a 3door in a scrappy, just mines a 5 door. Jon

The car I was talking about didn't have leccy windows. Got me a one for my 4 door though for £15. If I see another on my travels I'll pull it out for someone. Jon

well mine dont work , the motor goes , the bits move up and down ( but one of them keeps falling off) that any good to ya ?

I think you might have a similar problem to me, so probably not.

Well the problem with mine is that the steel cable had snapped (how, I'll never know??). So all I need to do is replace the cable. Problem is you can't buy just the cable from SEAT because you need to have some little metal bits crimped on, but they need to be crimped on only once the wire is running through the mechanism. I'm just about to go to B&Q to get some steel wire to see if I could replicate it.

p.s. I would of never imagined that there are 3.5 meters of wire in the stupid mechanism

This is what mine looks like. Where the arrow points you can see that the wire is twisted and snapped:

Thats what happened to mine yeah. I was thinking of repairing it, but looks like a pain in the arse to thread the wire through. Made sure I got pleanty of oil into the new one. Oh, and the motor doesnt come off.

Ah, i think this may be what has gone wrong with mine, it'll go down fine but when i press up it will go a bit but the seals on both sides of the window on the vertical bit are gripping it so tightly that it wont move, then when i press down they let go. it was caused when someone slammed my door with the window down.

is this the same thing or is it something different and cheaper to fix? (hopefully)
