Dash Board. PLEASE HELP!

I've had a Mk3 Ibiza for about a year now and the screen on the dash (the one that shows outline of car, with climate control display etc)keeps on losing some of its information, if i push either side it comes back, but can go away agin just as easy.

I've had the panel off and their is no loose connections, has anyone else had thi problem? If so please help CHEERS

Maybe helpful, maybe not. But a few weeks back my screen went completely off and it happened after there was lots of condensation on it dew to the cold weather. Once the condensation dried it works fine.
Does it happen when the car is steamed up?

no it happens no matter what the weather, i just seems to loose a bit of information and other inofo just fades away. I know that mk3 ibiza's are renound fro having electrical problems, wondering if poeple knewthis as one of them , cheers for your your post anyway

i could pos be the connection between the pcb and the lcd screen, as some lcd screens are pushed against a rubber pad which has the conductors from the pcb.

it could be either, the device pushing the lcd against the pad has lossened

or the contacts between the pcb and the lcd are dirty

although i can not guarantee this to be the prob as im not sure how the screens are made up

sounds like a dry joint on the pcb between the connectors from the screen to the unit, unplug it and take a close lookse, and if required resolder.

i have the same problem but it was my own fault
when you take the front facia off on the left and right side there are little gold metal clips/connectors??(3 on each side i think)
i broke the middle one on the right off by accident and now and again i have to press at the top left side just under where the fog lights are to get it working again

Cheers for all your help! I tink its going to be the problem t do with the pressure pads, as a test ive packed a bit of sponge behind and put the facia back on. That worked a treat but compressed too easily, which meant the scree went back to its tempromental ways. Does anyone know what these pads actually look like and where the should be located? Can i buy them or can anyone recommed a good substitute. Thanks again!
