My 2003 seat ibiza has a spanner and the word oil flashing up on its dash. I took it to a garage and they put some more oil in it but it still shows. I don't have a owners manual yet but I'm still wondering what this could mean.
Yep it's the oil service due indicator.. another one will pop up at some point with the spanner and "INSP" for the maintanence service.
to reset it (of course get the oil changed if it's due since the last change)...
1: Switch off Ignition
2: Keep "Reset" button on distance counter pressed
3: Connect ignition with the "Reset" button pressed. The fixed mode display appears.
4: After atleast 10 secs, release the "Reset" button
That's from the owners manual on my 2006.

Ah cool, will it tell me about any other services needed? And if it does What happens if I get a blanket service done how do I reset any other service warnings so they don't come up in a months time.
