Are there any dash trim kits available for the Leon? Just something to brighten up the black. Maybe a few bits of aluminium/stainless steel surrounds for the heater vents etc?

You can get different silver or grey centre console trim pieces as well as the standard black.
Also different colour vents, not just the central switch either.
I've seen some with a full silver surrounding.

You could always spray paint the centre console any cooler you want. I think I picked a spare up on eBay for about £15.

Speaking of which, I removed a pearl grey one from my FR yesterday if you're interested?

You could also spray the door switch surrounds and handle covers.

The stereo surround is probably genuine as these do exist.
As do the vents, I believe these were fitted on lower spec Leon's but I'm not 100%
The lower centre console and door switch surround will have been painted though.

Looking closer at the vents the owner may have painted those particular ones actually or transferred the red Cupra R toggle over.

there is a 'genuine' silver kit on ebay, but I think £70 is a bit steep. I was thinking more of the flexible plastic kits with a metallic finish, like they do for other cars

This is identical to the spare I have which is 'pearl grey'

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231846307339

Here's a much cheaper silver one

To be honest they surprisingly don't actually cost too much brand new.
I've just ordered a new double din one from TPS and it's only cost me £31 inc VAT.

Thai, I don't suppose you have the part number for the double din fascia do you?

Yeah, the ordinary facelifted Cupra and FR come with the pearl grey dash, which looks much nicer than the plain black that comes with base models and the R!

well mine is a 2004 Cupra, but maybe the TDi's didn't get the facelift interior - it didn't get the red trimmed steering wheel or red trimmed seats like the petrol version, which I think is a shame

Only the Cupra R got the red accented interior bits and pieces.
