Dashboard lights flickering

Hi,

The dashboard lights flicker on my 2001 leon when the engine is idling. Is this likely to be the alternator or some other problem?

Not sure, but I think this might be common and cured by fitting a good grounding kit?
Could be talking utter keek though, I'm sure someone will correct me.

Sounds like a bad earth to me.

Anyone know which earth point it's likely to be that is causing this problem?

Earths under the steering column and hidden behind the N/S headlight.
I'm sure there are other points.

The headlights flicker too when idling. Reckon this is an earthing or alternator prob? Cheers

Get a voltmeter on it to see.
