Dashboard Warning Lights

Don't have a manual for my 1.6S Leon and a RED warning light has come on.....looks like a brake problem ....Checked the brake fluid, brake lights, and all look OK.
Can't get a manual till mOnday........any suggestions on what to check?

could be brake pad wear warning !!

Ta - turned out to a "check engine" orange light when the car arrived to me...not a red warning light.....and the VAG scan points to a fauty O2 sensor / wiring.
