hi guys can anyone give me some advice please?

been told I need to de-coke my turbo on my seat 130hp TDI as its done around 140,000 now

never done this before and someone said to use mr muscle oven cleaner is this right?

any ways is there any step by step photos or vids anywhere on how this is done please?

also has anyone used the new terraclean service? would this clean out the turbo?

any help would be cool please :)

what about Revive Turbo and Engine Cleaner has anyone tried using this to clean the turbo?

The Mr muscle treatment is excellent and easy to do.

I'm on my phone but Google 'Mr muscle turbo clean' and a good guide on brisaskoda comes up.

Do the mr muscle for now if you're having problems then get yourself a bottle of diesel rhino, it's an additive for the tank but really helps clean the turbo right up.

TerraClean have 2 different services i believe. I'm not sure whcih one is ideal for de-coking the turbo. The standard one is good apparently but I can't be sure it'll do teh job your after. The other service (which happens to be more expensive) is the EGR cleaner service, and that does the inlet manifold as well, so it might do the turbo as well. Would be worth checking it though.

Terraclean cleans the inlet, internals and outlet side of the engine to some degree so I would assume it'll begin to break up most of the filth and expel it from the engine/turbo.

The diesel treatment works on a stand and soak basis so the longer it's left to soak the deeper it'll clean and the better it'll work.

The diesel treatment alters the way the fuel burns in the engine as well as containing a cleaning agent and a lubricant which helps everything in the system.

Have you tried out this new diesel rhino MJ?

They've kinda cracked the issue of being able to clean and lube at the same time. (Keep those thoughts to yourself :D)

After doing the mr muscle treatment ages ago which I think tends to soften rather than remove the crud I've since been using the diesel rhino. I'm still only on the first 500ml bottle but my boost is way better than ever. There's no spike or that anymore, it's just loads less aggressive. If I work the vnt lever too it's really quiet whereas it always had a squeaky creaky noise before.

Anyway I'm fitting the PD130 unit in the next week or so and will be dismantling the stock unit to see how clean it is or isn't so we'll see what's what.
