My VZ Hybrid has completly dissconected it self from all connect services, can't even log in with my user profile

After several days of mailing the support this is the instructions from support i have got (Translated from Swedish)

Som of them I don't understand, and therefore can't follow:

Thank you for your patience. We would like to inform you that some changes have been implemented:
As a troubleshooting, you should now perform the following steps:

- Turn on the ignition;

- Go to the vehicle's privacy settings and select maximum privacy/incognito mode and wait until the vehicle is turned off;

My car doesn't turn off, other than me turning it off, so I really don't get past this step!?

- When the vehicle is offline, again in the privacy settings, now choose to share location/minimal privacy and wait until the vehicle is back online;

What is back online meaning?

- Turn off the ignition;

- Lock and leave the vehicle, let rest for 15 minutes;

Make sure to try the process somewhere with good signal coverage and the infotainment system must have at least three signal bars to try any process.

I can't find any bars, the only bars I have seen is when I connect my phone, but those bars I find irrelevant in this case?

If this does not help, in order for us to review in the best possible way, please attach a picture of:

- Privacy settings in the infotainment system,

Good signal coverage.

Any help is appreciated

They want you to turn the data sharing function to maximum privacy, then minimum to create a system reset.

If everything is successful then the globe icon should appear and be bright white.

My best guess is that the line "wait until the vehicle is turned off" should read "wait until the infotainment unit goes offline." I mean the "incognito mode" probably takes it offline (disconnected from the servers) then setting it to "share location" takes it back online. (Connected to servers) Only then all of these start to make some sense, I think.

Yes I get that, unfortunately I don't understand step 1, if I turn on ignition and set it to maximum privacy, my car doesn't turn it self of, if I am supposed to turn it off by my self I don't understand the meaning of "wait until the vehicle is turned off.

Either way it doesn't work, my glob remains grey

And for further help from support they want to see my signal strength which i can't find

I think they mean to wait until the globe goes grey/vehicle enters "offline" mode.

"Until the data sharing is turned off" is probably a better instruction.

Agree, unfortunately I can't get it to work and it feels like I waited an eternity between all steps but no white globe :(

Signal strength should appear in the top right depending on the equipment and software installed.

Ok, the globe has never been white since this mess started, and they know that, but their answers is probly some kind of standard answer

Did it just randomly stop working? No OTA updates, service work carried out etc?
No just randomly, just when it got cold in Sweden=When I needed the remote heater the most.

So right now I hate my car, this and frozen chargport, terrible traction, snappy when slippery

I normally love it :)

If you had grey-globe continuously since all this mess started, I suggest you pull out the infotainment fuse for a couple of minutes and then back in - this method used to solve the "offline system" for this MiB3 common to Octavia, Golf, Leon/Formentor etc. Unfortunately I don't know the fuse number from the top of my head, so you need to check your manual.

In my car those bars is for the reception of my cellphone
In the Settings menu, you should find something related to Network and in-there you should have the option to enable/disable the builtin SIM; if I'm not mistaking, in that section you also see the signal-strength of the onboard SIM (not the one of your personal phone). At least that's how it looks on the facelift; in the meantime I forgot how the menu was looking on the pre-facelift version, sorry!

Indeed, remote heating - a great feature, therefore very frustrating when you cannot access it!
And yes, the hybrid had a strong tendency to loose grip when you start moving (even on clean roads, depending on your "foot weight"). I don't know how other manufacturers manage the standing start, but I think VAG does a terrible job: the starting power is correctly managed, but the starting torque is the same with the high-speed one! The car tries to move using all 330 Nm from 0 km/h :rolleyes:

Thanks, I pull the fuse, seams like the right thing to do when nothing else works

And you are right, its easy even in the dry to burn some rubber if you are just little bit careless :)
