Dealer BS?

Just picked up my Exeo ST SE TEch 143 last night to find the DVD for the Sat Nav missing. Dealer says "didn't realise it needed a DVD and thought maps were pre-loaded" !! He now has to order the DVD media.
Is there a funny smell coming from this - I thought the DVD would have been with the new owner pack?

I had to wait three weeks to get mine after delivery as they have to be ordered separately from the car. A colleague had exactly the same experience, so is waiting for his now following delivery two weeks ago.

But two other colleagues had theirs delivered with the car, so sometimes they get it right

And yes, there really are four Exeos in the car park now! Mine is the only white though and I got in first

Hi,

Mine arrives in a week so I'll let you know if the dvd turns up. Seems to be a bit hit and miss.

Mine is coming from Lex (company car) so they may pay more attention to detail perhaps.

I can't fault Lex - my last 3 cars have been from them, but unfortunately they no longer do personal leasing.
Nobody could ever match their terms when I was shopping around for a new car.

Yeah, I think they stopped doing personal when Lloyds bought them.

I dunno if this is true with personal leases, but with company leases they take out the original mats and put Lex ones in, and take out the cigarette lighter etc, basically everything that isn't nailed down

Bit annoying. I think I'd prefer the Seat mats.

True for personal leases also - always had Lex mats that wore out in no time at all.

I TOLD the Dealer to order the disc I knew more than he did..... Some Seat do have the maps pre loaded, or dealer loaded onto a hard disc.... The Exeo is DVD based.

When the car arrives there is a form that they have to fax off, this get's the disc sent to them.. all to prevent theft etc....

If I had not told the dealer to do this he would not have a clue.... maybe that is why he ordered 2... one for his demo car....

Mine isn't coming from the dealer ... I think I'm in a whole world of hurt.

I assume I should be able to take it to any SEAT dealer for them to order it.

How long does it take to come?

Update: Call this evening from dealer - Discs have arrived - reported Friday, arrived Tuesday. Not bad.
