Debadged Grille

I recently bought an Ibiza, and i'm looking to remove the front grille in favour of a debadged one. Only problem is, i can't find on that is for Seat only, so i was wondering will a 6N Polo grille fit?

what year? i just typed seat ibiza grille into ebay and got a fair few results...i fitted the black slated grille on my old 8v, loeked nice

You'll have to replace the whole grille, inc the surround (which goes under the lights), as the 'S' on the '95 Ibiza is part of that surround....

Not sure if a '96 onwards grille will fit.... as you can get a de-badged grille section for them from FK. The only place I can find that sells them at the mo is a guy on ebay.de

Yeah, i see what you mean. I was looking at my friends 6n Polo and his surround looks really simalar to mine. I was also asking someone on Club-Polo forum who has a Ibiza with a Debadged grille and he said it was off a Saxo :S

Is it possible to mix and match the car parts?

6N polo's are slightly narrower than the Ibiza, so they won't fit.

However, the Mk4 Polo Classic/Saloon is the same width as the Ibiza, and is actually basically a Cordoba front end so a grille from one of them will fit

im certain that someone (i think it was mckellar ?sp) removed his grille and surrond, cut out the 'S' filled and sanded then sprayed and stuck on a gutman type mesh.......it'll be there if you search im sure...depends if you want all the work

He had an FK grill.

Being prefaclift a polo clasic grill should fit as Andy said, something I always fancied on mine to be different.

hm well i deff remember someone modifying a pre facelift ibiza....as in cutting out the 'S' ect not just replacing with an fk grille like i did ('99)

if you take the grille out then the plastic slots and the badge just pop out you can get the mesh off ebay of halfords and loads of other places then just fix it with some self tappers and washers easy-peasy

My grill is similar to the facelift style, pop out centre section.......I have mesh.
