Debadging a black Cupra

Hi lads i finally decided to Debadge the Leon

I used all the info i had and decided that i will use the Dental floss and blow dryer method :p

I didnt bother to clean my car before the whole process so in some pics my car looks dirty

i did the T of the TDI just to see if it was ok then i got my friend to take some pics :)

Heated up the Badges so that they were ready to be removed by the dental floss.

After removing all the badges was left with some glue which i then removed by heating it up so it gets all sticky then using my thumb to rub it off :)

Who ever suggested the thumb method your a legend although i do have a very soar thumb now

just thought i would contribute and say that i used boiling water from kettle, white spirit and some elbow grease, worked ok and didn't leave any marks.

I left my 'Seat Cupra' badges on and put a Forge Motorsport sticker on the other side and think it looks good. Also painted boot badge and completely removed the rear wiper as the snow broke it anyway. Have a black rubber grommet in the hole in the rear screen where it poked through.
