Debadging a black Cupra

Hi lads i finally decided to Debadge the Leon

I used all the info i had and decided that i will use the Dental floss and blow dryer method

I didnt bother to clean my car before the whole process so in some pics my car looks dirty

i did the T of the TDI just to see if it was ok then i got my friend to take some pics

Heated up the Badges so that they were ready to be removed by the dental floss.

After removing all the badges was left with some glue which i then removed by heating it up so it gets all sticky then using my thumb to rub it off

Who ever suggested the thumb method your a legend although i do have a very soar thumb now

i then debadged the Leon sign aswell and heres the final pic

Get rid of all of them........oh yes change that bloody wiper

Thats what i was thinking Nibbles you rekon i should get rid of the Seat and the Cupra badge aswell ?

Im thinking of putting the " L E O N " badge in the middle


nibbles needed some advice how much is the fabia wiper and isit a straight fit ? heard some storys about the wiper being a pain when connecting to the washer bottle etc :S

1) debadge the rest of the boot

Maybe the owner debadged it . are you still in need of the badges matey ? im not sure if i can or cant but if you want myn ill send u them free of charge saves them frm going into the bin

just thought i would contribute and say that i used boiling water from kettle, white spirit and some elbow grease, worked ok and didn't leave any marks.

I left my 'Seat Cupra' badges on and put a Forge Motorsport sticker on the other side and think it looks good. Also painted boot badge and completely removed the rear wiper as the snow broke it anyway. Have a black rubber grommet in the hole in the rear screen where it poked through.

cool,now i know how to remove the rest of the letters on my boot lid.
some little scum bag removed most of them for me...
