I started debaffling the chargepipe yesterday but didnt realise til halfway through that you need to insert a sleeve

had to refit it as dont have another, will it have any detrimental effect on the running of the car until i get a replacement and or a sleeve made?

thanks

might need to tell the good people abit more about it.

where it is, what connects to it, you know draw us a picture (with words)

baffles or what nots are there to slow the air down, dissipate noise or air surges
and give a more constant setteled flow of air.

if you have turb'd your motor then i see no problem other than what i said above.

just drive nicely untill you have finished what it is your doing.

i would assume that you know what your doing before you started what ever you started.

let us know what exactly it is your doing and might beable to get some answers for you.

regards

This is on an LCR style charge pipe?

You should be okay to run without the sleeve in there, but I would put one in when you can as taking the baffle out leaves a very un-smooth path...

So, it won't damage anything (but might burn the paint on the outside of the charge pipe).

LCR charge pipe on an 2871 Eliminator LCR, Phil.

:D

Oh, and there is a stock size (can't remember) which fits nice in the pipe, but is slightly bigger than the thinner part of the pipe. But you can encourage the stock pipe out to the stock size (63.5?) to make a smoother transition.

:-D Too much grief in the end.

There's a few other sources now, including stock and polished from TTS, I'm not competing against the "big boys".

It only takes one or two people to drop out/not pay and I got stuffed with pipes I couldn't sell for a while - the materials aren't cheap, the mandrel bends alone are about £10 each.
