decat worries

hi i have had a search but cant find all the answers i am after i have a 2000 ibiza cupra (AQX)
1. Do you need to have your car re mapped after fitting a decat?
2. Do you get any management lights?
3. Is it much loader? i have a cat back milltek twin oval.
4.does this need chopping around to fit?

u might get lihgts mate but if u want rid off them get custom code map i had my map first is ur car mapped already

they can over boost and go into limp mode with a cat off never had this done to mine but a have heard of it happing to people

It won't overboost if you decat, just throw an EML for the cat being under performing.

easily rectified with a remap from the right company.

i hate all the eml lights and stuff they got for everything now as soon as you touch somthing on your car or take a needles thing off it screams and shouts and turns into a christmas tree. ive had a bad morning just got home from work need sleep.

i would imagine it would be a bit louder but it also depends on the rest of your system the silencers and box sizes will make a difference to the sound and toe.

Sound **** with a decat unless you've got the standard exhaust. It wont damage anything by having one on the car either. Get the post cat lambda mapped out and you'l never get any EML lights because of it

Custom code can come to your door and map the car there an then, dont think its any extra charge either

alternatively dont put the post lamba all the way in the exhaust stream which can also stop it from causing any fault codes/evil lights flashing
