You can get the sensor completely removed from your ECU. The spacer pushes the rear sensor away from the fast flowing gasses, so it doesn't throw up the fault.

Thanks Applemobile. That makes sense now :) Was stripping the sensor from the ECU a pain in the A$%e?

You don't strip it you have it mapped out ;)

I ran a pure de-cat with a spacer for over 8 months on a stage 1 map with no problems....

I eventually got it mapped out when I got my Stage 2 custom map done.

How do you mean mapped out? I have had cars remapped before but never knew you could 'map' around what a sensor tells the ECU. Was this what you meant?

Mapping an ecu involves writghting files to the ecu and rewrighting them etc and so you can do what you like within reason ;) well a good mapper can ;)
