Hi all

going to change the spark plugs this weekend, as will all my cars that run more than stock boost i stick a colder grade plug in.

I'm reading on here that alot of people use NGK BKR7E plugs which are coppers. Used these all the time on the MR2 turbo but just want to double double double check they are fine to use with the LCR.

Failing that any other recommendations for grade 7 NGK plugs?

have just read through the search results but cant find part numbers aside from Denso's (have had a bad experience in the past so wont use again.)

cheers

Si

Hi just been looking at spark plugs on sparkplugs.co.uk and they do NGK BKR7E and BKR7E-11, which ones would be the best to go for?

I have the NGK Iridium ones..... still working after 2 years. Gonna get copper before this race season as Ive been told copper has even better conductivity.

I've just ordered a bunch of NGK BKR7E(6097) from the UK and plan to gap them at 0.28

0.28? hmmm. Hope thats not 0.28mm.

And for mapped cars its should be 0.028" which is ~0.71mm.

BKR7E's are one grade colder than standar so will be fine for any car really. Standard gap is .032"/0.8mm you can gap them down if you want or throw them in as they are.

Change them at every oil change as theyre only about 12 quid delivered. Copper core plugs dont last as long as Ir or Pt plugs.

used the BKR7E NGKs on the MR2 and they were fine, local motor parts shop does them for about £2 a plug iirc.

as said change with the oil and they will be fine.

Yes, 0.028, minor details with the zero's and dots... lol

Just had them delivered (20 pcs), paid 1,82 £ each bought in the UK.

Is it worth gapping them that extra 0.1mm? (Running REVO stage 2 a 1.25 bar)

So does anyone know if there is a difference between the NGK BKR7E and the ones with -11 on the end on camskill.co.uk
