Right i know my cars future doesnt depend on what you lot decide, but need a helping hand working this out...
(ps i blame mixupz for this lol)
Ive always had the want/need at the back of my head to turn my car euro, but with it being a 1.2 ive always thought it wasnt really worth it. However i could still go down the euro path but just miss out some of the things i wanted to do to the car, but with it being a 1.2 they arent worth it (££££ quid rims etc). If it was more like a 1.9 then i would be half way there already.
But now the thoughts really been in my head this morning, change of bumpers, wheels and some smoothing and i'd be half way there. So its sorta up to you guys to help shove me in the right path (not down a cliff)
Euro Path
-If i went down this, id ditch the facelift front for a pre- and smooth some bits
-The back bumper could stay, but possibly change so i can hide the exhaust for a more smooth look
-Lots of smoothing would happen, but thats not really a problem as i have a neighbour whos mega good at it, plus a very good priced garage near by.
-My alloys would go up for sale, as would the A3 ones i have in the garage. Some 16's would get slotted on nicely with an obvious stretch to them
fr-tdi im sure will love to point me in the right direction for the 16s.
-With 16s now on it will be lower, but will try and lower it even more. (even though i have 7 speed bumps to leave the village i live in) (its worth it)
-Finally, bonnet bra and black roof. Were going to happen anyway but ho-hum their euro
Any other suggestions for the euro path is as always appreciated.
Before anyone says too.. i would definalty change the bumper if i went euro, i know Edwin went down the facelift euro look. But this bumper just looks too aggressive for euro imo. Even though his does look emmence
Stay the way im going
Well if i decided to stay the way im heading, dont really know where it is tbh but just subtle mods but still trying for a head tuner
So far my plans were going to be cupra rear, some subtle (not as much as euro) smoothing, black roof, bonnet bra, fogs added to my front and thats about it really
Might change the wheels too, but would keep it 17"
Also try and get it a little lower, adjusters are out and still not low enough lol
Just subtle but nice and neat modifications. However it still wouldnt be as much of a head tuner as euro would be
I know many examples of both routes id love to take, St3f!, fr-tdi, Edwin for the euro (should really learn peoples names!) and for subtle look i'd steal some ideas from a few places, but most of them were already thought up by me
So go for it, gives some feedback and probably some criticism lol.
Remembering some facts;
its my first car
im selling up in two years
its my money, not yours... so go for it lol
Edit: mix-up to mixupz as his period started early
