Deleting my phone book!

Hi Guys

This may sound like a silly question and I'm sure there is a straight forward answer.

How the hell do I delete my address book off my MFD display?

I've just changed my phone and my address book on the new phone is different to the current MFD display in the car. I want to clear the current address book in the car and start with an empty MFD other wise I know I will be getting dups.

Thanks for the help : )

I asked a similar question a while ago.

Because the phone syncs with the car every time you get in (the beeping sound), it updates automatically hence if you get in the car with a new phone, you ought not to suffer from any duplicates.

But it has.

I now have the new contacts and the old ones one the MFD.
The address book is getting longer and also old numbers on there which I don't need anymore?

Can't get my head round it?

Will re-sync everytime, but can take 3-4 mins to happen.

Other way i believe is the voice command option and "delete all" or "delete phonebook" or somehting like that.

I always thought the 'Delete Phonebook' feature was for deleting the voice-dial names...namely the people for whom you've created voice-tags.
