Dension ICE link..help!

Guys,

I done a search to find if anyone else has had a problem installing one of these, but I can't find a similar problem.
I received my Dension ICE link plus kit from www.ipodcarkitdirect.co.uk yesterday and naturally got straight down to getting it installed.

Before I set about fully installing it I deceided to check it actually worked, so I whipped out the stereo unplugged the multichanger and plugged in the relevant leads to one another. And zip, nothing, the stereo displays 'CHANGER' (I guess it doesn't recognise it?) really annoyed as I already waited for over a week and a half to receive it.

Anyone else had this?

The car is a 2002 Seat Leon Cupra with the AURA CD/Radio multichanger.

If the stereo displays 'Changer' it has at least recognised something is attached. I'm fairly sure that it switches straight back to the last input if nothing is detected.

Does the ICE link need wiring to power or something? I'm guessing if it's designed to charge the iPod then it'll need it's own power feed.

have you earthed the black wire to something if there is one loose from the multiplug?

Interesting, no I haven't, I see there is spare black wire but didn't think this would have any effect?

You need to earth it.
