Dielectric grease treatment.

Hi guys.Just treated my maf with the dielectric grease and I swear the car runs smoother and starts first button.It really seems to have worked wonders on my leon tdi cupra.Have any of you had similar results?

To be honest, I get the same result just unplugging and re-plugging the MAF connector. I am no longer convinced the dielectric grease itself does anything; but that connector is definitely an Achilles heal of the engine.

It didn't make an ounce of difference to my FR, but then again, it wasn't even 12 months old when I applied the grease so everything still had clean contacts.

I also did it to all the electrical connections my 2.0 16v Mk3 Astra and there was a slight improvement on cold start ups and cold idle. But that's a 10yr old car!

The grease enables a good contact and can be applied as a preventative measure.Unplugging and plugging the maf returns the good contact temporarily but not permanently so the grease is a good option to take as it maintains the adhesion of the sensor contacts more permanently I am led to understand.

I have some on order, due in tomorrow actually.

I've heard nothing but good things about this... my engine fires up on pretty much the first crank anyways but if it makes TDI running a little smoother then all the better

Yeah.It certainly made mine smoother and its not very old on an 04 plate.

Cool I should maybe see a bit of an increase on my 03 TDI 130 with 64K on the clock
