I done a search but can't find a thing. Any

I'm looking into getting a boost gauge to go in my FR TDI that I'm going to be getting soon but have no clue how to do it lmao. I read on other cars they tap into the manifold and other places?

Any help is appreciated

:)

i believe you tap into the intercooler pipe. i wouldnt drill into the manifold myself as a new manifold is expensive and a piece of alloy pipe is not too bad but you could always put a silicone sleeve over it if you decided to remove it.

Yea I thought it was that one but when they started mentioning manifolds I was like wooooooah I'm
Not drilling my manifold! Lol. Will get a silicon hose from eBay and tap into that so I can put the original back on for resale :)

cheers guys

its this one. not the cheapest but i wanted digital to make sure there is no buzzing and it needs to go past 20 psi, and the rest kinda looked tacky

i bought a spare vent. smashed the insides out, cut a circle of wood the same size as the id of the vent. cut a circle in the circle the same size as the gauge. glued it in, carbon wrapped it at the same time i did my clocks etc,

the hardest bit was cutting the wood. the rest was simples

its not too bad really mate, the dash was the hardest part as there are loads of bits to cut out like the indicator arrows etc.

cardboard will be fine mate and whenever you can do it, i have refurbed the seats and they are ready to go in

Without looking stupid how do you fit a turbo gauge to a diesel car. Am quite interested in doing this just because they look good. Will probly do a piler job but is it best to get a garage to do it? Cheers
