Diesel Pop Question

The fuel cut is at 5200rpm, so how your making it to 5500 i don't know. Unless your using a huge turbo it would also be completely pointless. Any gt17 based turbo runs out of puff at around 4.5k and begins to tail off.

my rr graph heads very south at that stage... if you want petrol rpm, petrol sounds and general petrollyness then i believe the mk4 also came in a petrol variant
I wouldn't I love my diesel and love diesel sounds! Petrold have a rumble diesels have a grunt lol

It goes there i don't always rev at 5.5k as it's pointless but just saying done it before, not really sure why but i did

The main reason people don't use this forum anymore is cause some people don't get banter so all the decent laughs are on a forum that is sworn to secrecy

I know it's just a laugh mate, it's like people like you post videos describe things and are helpful as well as many others, then you have people that just take things so serious it's so and boring.. Why post comments that aren't on topic just purely to show somebody up or at least try 2 !

What map are you running on your car. Very interested, as if it revs over 5.5k they have messed with the fuel cut unnecessarily, and it could lead to engine damage, as the bottom end isn't designed to spin at those rpm's
Put your car in 3rd gear press the pedal which lines up with your right foot on a long stretch of legal road and you can do it, really doesn't require any form of magic.. Jesus i'm not going to get an OBE for it what reason/benefit would I get to lie about it ?.
I do change car at around 2k for info purposes it was an experiment (yes a stupid one) too see how high it would rev, i'm not proud of it or asking for praise.

the meaning of banter is to poke fun or teasing someone which is the same as taking the p**s.
witt or witty means to understand intelligence and requires humour and the understanding of humour,having a sence of humour normally comes with people skills.

vroomtshh is probably one of the most helpful people on here. Just look through the forum threads, he's been invaluable at helping others with car/engine problems or general maintenance. Oh, and for the record, I actually found his comment quite funny!
What's the point in trying to get a diesel to "pop" anyway? Who's actually going to get enjoyment out of it? I know I wouldn't if it were my car, I'd be thinking "F**k me, what's that done to the engine?!".
But I suppose it's a case of each to their own I guess. If you want to achieve it, go do it! No one's stopping you trying.

Awww your making me blush. I actually thought it was quite funny too. As for social skills - I don;t have any. I'm a typical grumpy scots b*****d.
There was no real need for proper input on the thread since there was a lot of nonsense on it, and the people spouting it, have no interest in listening to reality.
Note that this isn;t banter in any form. Its just honesty.
