Mine has folding mirrors too, i was looking all over for the port in my corsa vxr it was under the cd player ill have to have another look, yea i did it for peace of mind, when i got it changed the guy said there was a little wear and tear but better be safe than sorry.

are the differences not: +30bhp or +60bhp, FR seats, stiffer suspension, better alloys, FR front and rear bumpers and twin exhaust? FR is obviously a better package

15 bhp difference, - the fr signs, and fr bumpers thats it. its the same bwa but mapped lower with a lower insurance group of 14 not 17 as the fr, remap the car and its the same 250ish bhp.

I have a sport with the btcc bumpers etc

I'm guessing about a 60bhp gain but TBH the Sport could be a bit of a sleeper...have you done anything else to the engine at all yet? I assume these cars also have a single intercooler?

No other mods at the mo but it's more than enough power for me
Search for dangb he's got a sport and prolly the fastest Leon on the forum

I thought the Sport and FR were both group 14 but the Cupra was 17?

In the real world even circa 200bhp would be more than enough but I always want more power - then it can become a bit of a money pit depending on what you want to do plus a lot of effort and time as well, thing is if I did end up getting one it wouldn't be driven by me for 99% of the time!

If I bought another Leon I'd definitely buy it with all the toys bolted on cos it is an expensive hobby lol

Its yet to be proven from what I have seen that the Sport is putting out less than the FR in terms of power.
Something that has'nt been mentioned is the FR being MY2007 and onwards may have come with an AUX or Ipod input which the sport did not have.

Hi Stu

I had a Sport for 2 years prior to my FR. Apart from what has already been mentioned i would say the ride is slightly softer, but the drive is just as good, perhaps feels marginally slower in standard form but only noticeable if you are really going for it,

just an excuse to show mine :p

Looks sweet, like the alloys, like the mk1 Cupra r big fan.
Dan even so that's epic! Just any excuse to talk my self into a turbo upgrade lol!

Interesting to know about this as well, was there anything the other way that was dropped at all and not added when the FR came out? Nice looking car too, admit I'd love to have a car to do things with again but then sense would kick in. Admit the LCR was probably one of the best cars I've ever owned.

after a wash saturday just gone :)

Sweet looking car, I'm a fan of blue cars but do have a blue one myself so guessing I'm biased.

Metallic blue wrapped body, everything else wrapped gloss black. Was silver originally and had a few silver cars so needed something different and blue Leon's are quite rare round here

I changed the suspension on my Sport after a couple of months due to the appalling ride quality, I can't imagine the FR was worse; did your Sport have 17" wheels and the FR 18"?

As already mentioned, everything I've ever read about the differences between the Sport and FR all say that other than the supposed 15bhp, it is all entirely cosmetic.

FR suspension is harder than the sport supposedly.

To re-iterate, OBDII is the removable panel below the lighting controls.

Also fun one for future reference - Fusebox (cabin) - Its on drivers side behind a panel which you can only access with the door open. Took me ages to find the bloody thing!
